Holiday Season as a Business Opportunity

Christmas is really in the air and this is the most awaited holiday for business owners, IMO. Why? Because, businesses of any niche can optimize their business during this holiday season. So, as I am thinking of what gifts to buy for my dearest family and friends this Christmas -- I thought of something for an internet business.

While thinking over what to sell this holiday season, an important question popped out and that is -- what can I specifically do to gain sales and increase profit during this holiday season. With the advent of the Internet I searched for answers from reputable business online resources and I found the perfect match on my query over Small Business CEO blog.

Amanda wrote a valuable article about Simple Ways To Increase Your Online Sales This Holiday Season which I believe could perfectly help me with my concern. You might as well looking for an answer with the same query as mine then I believe you too should visit and read her article about this.

Web Start-Up Targets Music Wannabes

This is a good news for all internet business dreamers. I found an inspiring article about an online start up which I stumbled upon Wall Street Journal.

A Web start-up hopes to cash in on the popularity of social-networking sites, music television shows like "American Idol" and online multiplayer games by combining all of them.
Music Mogul LLC is expected next week to unveil a Web-based animated environment -- often called a virtual world -- that lets members upload videos of themselves performing to compete for a three-song demo deal with a production company in addition to attending virtual concerts and events by real-life celebrities and networking with others. Members would also be able to play games and complete missions to increase their status on the site from an industry hopeful to an influential mogul.

Strategies to Increase Sales and Profits During a Recession

At Small Business Lessons blog, I found this helpful and inspiring article that shared what are 10 Quick and Easy Strategies to Increase Sales and Profits During a Recession.

According to Wikipedia -- A recession is a contraction phase of the business cycle, or "a period of reduced economic activity."The U.S. based National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) defines a recession more broadly as "a significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP growth, real personal income, employment (non-farm payrolls), industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales." A sustained recession may become a depression.

And yes, it is very undeniable that we are in a recession right now especially when it is the story featured everyday in every TV News program, newspapers and of course, resources over the Internet.

But no matter what, our future is still in our hands and even when almost all people are saying that our economy's growth is declining -- so what, we can't just lie down and wait until our economy says we've dropped to totally zero!

Just check out the article I cited above and is really helpful and at the same time inspiring for our internet business dreams. It teaches us how we can strategically increase sales and profits during these gloomy days of our lives.

Before jumping in to our featured for today, let me just introduce to you which Web 2.0 genre it belongs.

Anyone of you, have not heard about Social Bookmarking? Well below is the wiki information about Social Bookmarking.

Social bookmarking is a method for Internet users to store, organize, search, and manage bookmarks of web pages on the Internet with the help of metadata.

In a social bookmarking system, users save links to web pages that they want to remember and/or share. These bookmarks are usually public, and can be saved privately, shared only with specified people or groups, shared only inside certain networks, or another combination of public and private domains. The allowed people can usually view these bookmarks chronologically, by category or tags, or via a search engine.

Now you get what a social bookmarking website is -- that is exactly what BizSugars.Com is all about.
